We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL HVAC Installer to join our team! Specific Duties & Tasks: -Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment in industrial and commercial applications according to blueprints and engineering specifications, using demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration, hydronic systems, and airside theory. -Capability of servicing/working on centrifugal, screw, scroll and reciprocating chillers, package units, split systems, fans, VAV boxes, refrigeration equipment and factory mounted micro-processor-based control systems. -Diagnosing and identifying electrical/mechanical faults and maintenance risks for HVAC systems. -Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. -Performing emergency and on-call repairs promptly and efficiently. -Ability to use technology platforms including cell phones or tablets to keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions performed and time tracking. -Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements. -Provide service-related information to Service Managers regarding estimates, problems, and customer feedback. -Provide technical support and accurate paperwork to Service Managers and Service Administrators -Braze and solder various metals to connect piping. -Install, modify or repairs air ducts, indoor unit, drain pans, drain lines, and outdoor units. -Install and calibrate thermostats, humidistat, solenoids, and timers. -Disassemble indoor or outdoor units and replaces or repairs defective parts. -Perform preventive maintenance on drain cleaning, coil sanitizing, and motor lubrication. -Maintain the required tools list for the position. -After repairs, completely evaluate the operations of the equipment using gauges, voltmeters, leak detectors, sling pycnometers, static, and velocity instruments. -Performs other related work as required and make judgements from experience or factual data. -Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. -Ensure compliance with all Starr Mechanical, Inc. policies and procedures. -Loading and unloading of materials, cleanup, and trash removal of the construction site, and the ability to communicate to back office and supervisors daily for work assignments and scheduling. Qualifications: -At least five (5) years of experience relating to commercial HVAC technician work, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field. -Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating. -Working knowledge of boiler systems. -Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols -General knowledge of the hazards of the trade and necessary precautionary measures. -Willingness and ability to work overtime and on-call on an as needed basis. -Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. -Must be able to utilize mobile app, to enter time, write reports, submit receipts, etc. to provide data for future -visits and proper information for back office. -Proficient in reading schematics and work plans -Be at least 18 years of age, have at least a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and eligible to legally work in the United States. -Ability to thrive in a team environment. -Workers must be able to: See well (either naturally or with correction); Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds; Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; Work in hot areas and in high places; Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more; Work easily and skillfully with hands and fingers to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials. -Position requires pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and DUI screening, must be able to be cleared to work at government and other secure jobsites. -Operate scissor lifts, fork trucks, boom lifts, lulls, and other industrial equipment safely. - Apply today, start tomorrow! - Medical Benefits available! - 45+ hrs/ week!
