My Green Cheek Conures had beautiful babies a few months ago. I Believe mom is a Turquoise and dad is a Pineapple. I had planned on keeping them, but I have babies of my own also and I spend more time feeding and cleaning after the birds then bonding. I’d like them to get adopted to homes where they will be loved, given lots of attention, and well taken care of. I will be screening potential adopters and will not respond to negotiations. The adoption fee is $200 per bird to ensure good homes, they’re not free. Conures can be a lot of work, need lots of attention, training, quality food with added fruits/veges, can be very messy and loud. They are very smart, affectionate, can learn words, and love human attention. So far they arent too loud, are trying to repeat words and will take food from my hands if their parents are doing it. I may keep one or two especially if I don’t find the right homes. Also, note that Teflon pans or ovens should not be used, they cannot eat certain things, and should not be kept in kitchens. Plz do your research! I know people that use Teflon pans with birds in the home, but no preheating, no high temperatures, extra precautions not to burn food, and they use the oven occasionally on low temperatures no higher then 350 for short period of times with proper ventilation. Teflon is a silent bird killer and newer ovens may have Teflon in them making them more of a risk to their tiny lungs. Preference goes to them going in pairs so they don’t get stressed or lonely unless a person is going to spend lots of time with just one. Plz keep your negative comments to yourself, I’m not a breeder, I didn’t even know the genders, and am doing what I can to prevent them having more babies. I might have an extra cage available
