The republicans did not think through this recall. When Grey Davis was recalled, his opponents had a plan. They signed on with Arnold to lead the state upon Davis's departure. The republicans have no plan in this recall for what happens if Newsom were to get recalled. They have no viable candidate. Rather than finding a candidate to back in this recall, the republicans allowed every whacko to sign on not he ballot. There is not a single qualified leader listed among the dozens of replacements. This seems to be a theme with the GOP. The GOP was once a strong and determined party. Now, they are the party of wing-nuts. Then faces that represent the republican party are not mentally stable. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Rudy Guiliani, Ron Desantis, Mitch McConnel, Larry Elder, Caitlin Jenner, Ted Cruz, Chris Christy, are the new face of the GOP. Are you proud of these mentally unbalanced radicals representing you? These people are NOT conservatives. Next time you people consider recalling any leader, you should form a game plan in case you actually win.
