You breathe whether you are conscious of it or not, and the way you breathe affects your state of being. Breathing is an everyday miracle, and through practice and awareness of breath, you can reduce stress, depollute your systems, sleep sounder, improve your mood, and transcend your body. The format of this workshop is to take a dive into your respiratory anatomy and learn about the functional parts of breathing. From that knowledge, you can learn to breathe more efficiently and deeply, giving the body more of what it needs to thrive and eliminating what it doesn’t. Through pranayama practices, you may discover a new level of energy in your daily life and even in your regular asana practice. The link between breath and energy invigorates your practice of yoga beyond this workshop, on and off the mat. By influencing the flow of prana through breathwork, the mind becomes more still.
