An interactive workshop exploring allyship as a verb, microaggressions, and how to create an inclusive community for LGBTQIA+ people.
Join us for this interactive training where we’ll explore how to stand with LGBTQIA+ community. During this workshop, we’ll examine allyship as a verb through personal, interpersonal, community, and systemic lenses with a special focus on microaggressions. Not only will you have an opportunity to explore your own relationship with gender and sexuality, but also learn practical action steps you can take in your daily life to build a more supportive and inclusive community for LGBTQIA+ people.

Melissa Golden (they/she) has been a community educator on LGBTQIA+ issues since 2016. As the Youth Education Coordinator at Outright Vermont, an LGBTQIA+ youth advocacy organization, Melissa provided professional development and youth workshops for schools and other youth-serving organizations and organized statewide conferences throughout the state of Vermont. They moved to Colorado in 2019 and received their Master's of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2021. Melissa now works as an advocate at Broomfield FISH Food Bank & Family Resource Center.
All attendees must be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means at least two weeks since your second shot.
