Description
Join in on interactive conversations with smallWORLD Collective around polyamory and other related lifestyle topics! *THIS IS AN IN PERSON EVENT* with the option for folks to join virtually. The Zoom link will be emailed to ticket holders. Sept 14th we’re hosting our first Polyam Chat in person! Polyam Chats have been an intimate space for casual discussions on non-monogamy. Especially as Black queer folks, society has always dictated what our joy should, and shouldn't, look like. A non-monogamous life and lovestyle liberates us by making space for us to discover the boundaries and dynamics that work specifically for us and our partners. We welcome you to share this intentional space where we can discuss the joys and challenges of navigating a modern non-monogamous lifestyle. How do you define commitment and intimacy? Let’s explore the ways we tap into our freedom and greatest version of ourselves by releasing society’s expectations of our relationships. The experiences and voices of Black queer folks are always centered in this space because that’s who we represent, but also because Black ppl are silenced and marginalized too often in dialogues like these where we explore our joy and freedom. HOUSE RULES • Include your pronouns on nametag/in your display name. • Pronouns must be respected at all times. • Level of participation is up to you. We'd love to hear your comments/opinions, but they must be delivered respectfully, intentionally, & briefly. • smallWORLD reserves the right to remove anyone from the session • This is an intentionally intimate space, opinions are accepted but judgment will not be tolerated. smallWORLD Collective is a celebration of community and solidarity in the form of electrifying pop up events around the city of Chicago. With an emphasis on fluidity and individuality, sWC is always a space for you to be exactly who you are. We often find ourselves saying “small world” when we realize just how intimate and small our world really is. We say it when we meet mutual friends, or recognize a stranger isn’t as strange as you may have thought. We are all connected, we are all family, and sWC’s intention is to highlight that phenomenon.
