Background: Stratos Aircraft is producing the Stratos 716X, a Very Light Personal Jet. It is designed to comfortably seat six people and baggage, cruise at 400 knots with 1,500 nautical range. Description: Stratos Aircraft is looking for an exceptional Composite Aircraft Fabrication and Assembly Technician to join our team. This position will include but are not limited to the following responsibilities: • Composite layup and fabrication • Following of drawings and CAD models • Trimming and fitting of composite parts • Assembly of jigs and fixtures • Structural composite bonding • Aircraft airframe assembly • Fit and finish (basic bodywork) • Installation of various aircraft components and systems • Documentation of processes and materials Requirements: • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks • Strong work ethic, reliable, and self-motivated • Consistent high-quality workmanship and attention to detail • Experience in using power and manual tools (saws, drills, grinders, sanders, etc.) • Ability to operate small equipment and machinery (forklift, aircraft tug, overhead crane, etc.) • Physical ability to use ladders, work stands, lifts, creepers, etc. and be able to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require access during performance of duties. • Capable of physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, and equipment not in excess of 100 lbs. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings • Ability to accurately use measuring equipment (calipers, scales, tape measures, digital levels, etc.) • Knowledge of related safety standards and willingness to use protective gear (face-shield, gloves, etc.) • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision • Mechanically inclined and competent with basic math skills • Good communication skills and willing to help others as needed • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime, as necessary • Possession of a valid and current driver's license • Ability to pass TSA background check, required for airport access • Ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times • Ability to maintain a positive work attitude with an emphasis on teamwork.
