Join us for an incredible evening of networking, learning, and fun as we take a dive into entrepreneurship together! "Life always begins one step outside your comfort zone" - Shannon L. Adler About the event: - The Women of Isenberg and UMass Entrepreneurship Clubs are teaming up to help YOU learn what its like to be an entrepreneur. Together we will meet incredible founders, meet new friends, work within a team to develop a new idea, and even have the chance to pitch the idea to our spectacular guests. - First time in a startup setting? Nervous about public speaking? Don't worry, we will be there with expert advice to help you through the whole process. Remember, this event is meant to be an introduction! How It Will Work: - Participants will be split up into teams and will spin a wheel to choose a topic with the theme of improving life at UMass Amherst. Given a framework for generating this idea, teams will find a solution to their problem while creating an action plan (just like if you were starting a business). Finally, teams will present to our 3 judges in a friendly environment! Schedule: 5:30 - 5:35 - Welcome 5:35 - 5:50 - Guest speakers 5:50 - 6:00 - Split into teams & choose topic 6:00 - 6:40 - Ideation 6:40 - 7:10 - Presentation 7:10 - 7:30 - Close + network (optional) Note*: This event is for UMass students. Masks must be worn at the event (UMass guidelines) The Entrepreneurship Club helps students step aside from safe careers to pursue their innovative ideas and ingenious inventions in crafting a more fulfilling life. We aim to inspire, educate, and assist our student entrepreneurs by bringing the most value to our members through engagement, community, accountability, and skill-development.
