The University Star is bringing together eight phenomenal local storytellers who are members of our Texas State and San Marcos community. “Star Stories: True Stories of Life at TXST” will feature true personal narratives that reveal something about our community’s greatest challenges and greatest opportunities. The goal is to open a dialogue among diverse groups while assigning value to first-person narratives. Trigger warning: Some stories include descriptions of abuse, mental illness, sexual assault and other issues. The University Star is the independent student media group at Texas State University. It consists of a newspaper, website, e-newsletter and social media outlets. Our newsroom is run by students, for students.
