Dallas's Pretty Much Only Carnivorous Plant Gallery Takes Advantage of Autumn Weather and Moves Outside...Maybe. It's finally autumn. True, for Dallas, "autumn" is a matter of degree, but we can be reasonably sure that the days will continue to get shorter and eventually cooler, without stepping outside and joining legions of fellow "Near Dark" cosplayers. With that, the Texas Triffid Ranch, Dallas's pretty much only carnivorous plant gallery, moves outdoors...maybe. With clement weather, the Triffid Ranch (and adjoining jeweler Caroline Crawford Originals) returns to the tents from last year's famed Porch Sales, allowing viewing and purchase of unique carnivorous plant enclosures full of insectivorous plants (Venus flytraps, sundews, butterworts, bladderworts, Australian triggerplants, and four genera of pitcher plant) under a clear sky. If the weather goes foul, though, we're moving everything inside to get away from the rain. Either way, kids are very welcome, admission is free, and masks are mandatory.
