Join us for our 86th Annual Garden Tour and 100th Anniversary Celebration! Join us on Thursday, March 24th, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., for an enchanted evening in the garden of the Gibbs Museum to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Garden Club of Charleston, Inc.! Then, on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th, from 1:00 -5:00 each day, tour some of Charleston's most beautiful private homes and gardens. Maps and instructions will be sent via e-mail a day or two before the tour begins. For questions about the tour, or to pick up a hard copy of the map, please stop by Women's Confederate Home; use the entrance at 23 Chalmers Street. Maps will also be available the evening of our 100th Anniversary Celebration, at the Gibbs Museum, Thursday, March 24th, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. FAQs What should I wear on the tours? Please dress comfortably for the tours and wear comfortable walking shoes. Are different homes and gardens on tour each day? Yes; although we do often have one or two of the gardens maintained by our club available to visit on both days of the tour. What should I wear to the 100th Anniversary Celebration? This is not a formal event. Dress for this event is "garden chic!" What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Information about parking and pedi-cabs will be included with the maps and other information which will be sent to you via e-mail a day or two before the date of the tour. What can I bring to the event? Please wear comfortable shoes and casual comfortable clothes. Photographs of these private homes and gardens expressly prohibited. There is no handicap accessibility at these private homes and gardens. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? You may e-mail [email protected] with your questions. What's the refund policy? Refunds are given up to seven (7) days before the start of each event. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Please be prepared to show either your printed ticket or your e-ticket on your mobile device at each home or garden on the tour. Can I update my registration information? Yes When will I receive a map of the homes and gardens on tour? In an effort to protect the privacy of those homes and gardens are on tour, maps and complete instructions about the tour will be sent to ticket buyers via e-mail a day or two before the start of the tour. Copies of maps will be available at our 100th Anniversary Celebration event, or at the Women's Confederate Home Garden, 23 Chalmers Street, on Friday, March 25th, and Saturday, March 26th, after 12:00 noon. Please do not arrive at the Women's Confederate Home before noon on Friday or Saturday! The Garden Club of Charleston, Inc. is a 501-c4 non-profit and a 501-c3 charitable fund organization. Established in 1922, it is one of the oldest and largest garden clubs in America. Membership is limited to 425 members. Our goals are to direct our profits to beautification and/or educational purposes conducive to the well-being of the community and state; to promote the protection and conservation of natural resources and wildlife; to encourage civic planting and beautification; to further horticultural education, conservation, and landscpe design through scholarships; and to encourage the love of all phases of garden club work.
