Join Broken Hatchet Brewery and FOTShaw for a Slothfulness .5K! When: October 2nd 3pm – 5pm Where: Broken Hatchet Brewery, Belton, MO 64012 What: .5K down Main Street – several pitstops along the way incase you need a break! Family Friendly event! Prices: Kids Under 6: $5 includes entry fee, Sloth gifts and Root beer Anyone over age of 6: $25 in advance, $30 at door. Price includes entry fee, T shirt, and souvenir of event (while supplies last, so register EARLY!), and 1 tasting at Broken Hatchet. We will also have prizes for best Sloth inspired Costumes for different age groups! NO REFUNDS - Rain, snow, sleet, heat, no matter the weather we will hold event ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED BACK INTO THE BELTON COMMUNITY IN MEMORY OF TROY SHAW – Troy Shaw was an upstanding community member, BHS Alumni, Belton Police Officer, employee of Belton School District for 23 years, and Executive Director of Belton CARES. He loved giving back to his community and making sure the kids in our community had the best chances to thrive. All money raised will go to continuing this legacy in his name. Some of the difference already made in his name: • Sunscreen distribution to all Fall and Spring Athletes at Belton High School • Troy Shaw Memorial Scholarship (which became endowed with the Belton Educational Foundation in Aug. 2021). Scholarships were awarded in 2020 and 2021. VENDORS: Tara's Cafe offer Slothy Joe's as special! KC Wellness will be providing chair massages for donation! Mary Mountain Cookies offer samples along that path! Broken Hatchet Brewery beer at the finish line! (store bought rootbeer available also)
