4th Annual Aqua East GROM Fest Surf contest October 16th from 9am to 4pm This year we are excited to host the 4th Annual Aqua East Surf Shop GROM Fest Surf contest. We will have games, prizes and food for the whole family on Oct. 16th at the Jacksonville beach Pier starting at 9am. Please read through the eventbrite details for the waiver agreement and answer all questions while registering to be able to participate. SURF CONTEST ………………………………………………………………………… $35 8 and under (push-ins allowed) Boys 12 – 14 Girls 9 – 11 Juniors Girls 15 – 17 Boy 9 – 11 Junior Open Girls 12 – 14 Sandy Forsyth Longboard (all ages) ……………………………………………. $35 SKATE NIGHT (t-shirt and swag bag not included)………………………………… FREE GROM Fest will host various instructional games and contests like the Inner Bowl Roll Challenge, Step Launch and Game of R-A-I-L. Take your shot at winning some really great prizes from and top skateboard companies and pizza from Mellow Mushroom. PHOTO CONTEST …………………………………………………………………....... FREE Following the surf, skate and wake events we will choose ONE picture from each event to highlight and WIN a prize pack from our great sponsors. WAIVER / MEDICAL RELEASE / PHOTO RELEASE All participants 12 and under must have a parent/guardian present at this event in order to compete. Helmets are encouraged for all athletes PARENT/GUARDIAN WAIVER: I understand that I have signed my child/ward up for the Aqua East GROM Fest event, yet I take full responsibility for my child’s/ward’s actions and physical conditions. I agree to indemnify and to hold Aqua East Surf Shop and all its officers, volunteers, sponsors and agents harmless from any liability, loss (including any personal and or property damage), cost of expenses (including attorney’s fees, medical and ambulance costs, etc.) that may arise while they are participating at the GROM Fest events. PHOTO RELEASE: I also understand and agree that my child’s/ward’s photograph may be taken while they are participating at the Aqua East GROM Fest, and/or awards presentation event, and such photos may be used for promotional publication purposes. MEDICAL RELEASE: I give permission to a licensed physician or other hospital staff members to carry out emergency medical care deemed necessary to myself/child/ward when normal permission is unavailable. I certify that my child/my ward is in good physical health and has no limitation, which may predispose my child/my ward to risk during his/her participation at the Aqua East GROM Fest event. I understand that if my child prevents staff from safely supervising our child or others, or becomes harmful to him/herself, staff, and other competitors this child may be released from the event. The decision to remove a child from competition will be based on the discretion of the GROM Fest volunteers, judges and/or Staff. I hereby release Aqua East Surf Shop and all its officers, volunteers, sponsors and agents from any responsibility or liability in connection with my child’s participation at the Aqua East GROM Fest.
