Description
MEDFORD, MA — Medford will hold a remembrance ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall on Saturday. It will include a brief speaking agenda, Honor Guards from the Medford police and fire departments and a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., coinciding with the time that Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
Community members are invited to honor the victims of the attacks, as well as recognize and thank first responders.
The city has also invited local houses of worship to ring their bells at the times that each of the four planes crashed on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.
