ROUND ROCK, TX — One person has been hospitalized and another was arrested after a shooting in downtown Round Rock on Friday.
Joshua Kim, 19, of Austin was arrested Friday and faces one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated robbery with serious bodily injury, police said Friday.
Police received a 911 call around 4:20 p.m. for a car burglary in the 100 block of West Main Street.
When officers arrived, they found Kim pointing a gun at a person. Officers fired at him, but did not him. The 19-year-old was then taken into custody.
Officials said they found a victim with a gunshot wound and took them to a nearby hospital. The person had critical injuries but is now in stable condition, authorities said.
Police said the victim encountered Kim at their car and was shot by the 19-year-old before he pointed his handgun at another person.
The investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
