Owensboro Bank Robbed, Surveillance Photos Released

By John Gibson, WNIN Sept. 6, 2021 Police are looking for the man who robbed an Owensboro bank on Thursday. It happened at about 9:20 a.m. at the PNC Bank at 3013 Frederica Street. In a release, the OPD said employees told officers a black male suspect armed with a handgun entered the business and demanded money. Police said the man fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money before officers arrived. Police set up a perimeter and employed K-9 officers but didn't find the suspect. There was no word of any injuries. Anyone with more information on the robbery or the suspect is asked to call Owensboro Police at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
