Press release from the City of Novato:
September 3, 2021
In June of this year, the Novato City Council adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021/2022 City Budget, which began on July 1, 2021 and continues through June 30, 2022. The budget, while a financial document, is also an important policy document, outlining the City Council's priorities for the upcoming fiscal year and showing how financial resources will be committed toward those goals.
The four-page Budget in Brief is meant to provide the Novato community with a snapshot of the annual budget including the process, total budgeted revenues and expenditures, distribution of property tax and other highlights. This year's Budget in Brief highlights needed upgrades to the Pioneer Park play area, Downtown Grant Avenue amenities, and Novato Boulevard/San Marin-Sutro safety improvements.
