Press release from the Wright County Government: September 7, 2021 A Message from Wright County Health & Human Services Wright County Health & Human Services is dedicated to providing essential mental health services while improving access to services and resources that support mental wellbeing across the County. In an effort to broaden that reach, The Wright County Human Services Mental Health Advisory Council (MHAC) is currently seeking individuals with lived experience of mental illness or their family members to join the council, which currently meets every other month.  Members who have lived experience with a mental illness, are an essential component of the development of mental health solutions and are important representatives of Advisory Council membership. Better solutions come when we better understand the challenges and problems associated with mental health services delivery. We encourage you to apply if you have lived with or assisted someone else with mental illness. The Mental Health Advisory Council is comprised of both providers and private citizens whose purpose is to use the knowledge of a broad range of people who use mental health services, provide services or are concerned about public policy to find ways to improve local mental health services (Minnesota LAC Handbook). This council focuses on making recommendations for services and identifying gaps and needs in mental health to our local Health & Human Services Advisory Board.
