INTERESTED IN JOINING US? Havasu Silent Witness is seeking local residents to serve as volunteer members. Formed in 2000, Havasu Silent Witness endeavors to make a positive impact on crime in Lake Havasu City. Members are dedicated to creating a safer community by working in partnership with citizens, media, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department. While the Havasu Silent Witness Board works closely with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, it is a separate, community-based 503(c)(3) non-profit organization. All rewards paid out are funded through private donations from the community and community-based fundraisers. Members of the Silent Witness Board support local law enforcement by encouraging citizen participation and education at numerous events in town in the prevention and solution of local crimes. We meet approximately six times a year to provide oversight of cash rewards, organize fundraising activities, plan event attendance, and receive information on local crime trends. We need members to provide some coverage at our events and pass out information to the public. It is a lot of fun meeting and educating residents about what they can do to help LHCPD prevent and solve crimes.
