Meet Macy! She’s a 2 year old 51lb, spayed Rottweiler/Lab mix. UTD on all shots. Macy LOVES to be outside so a family with a large yard or some land for her to roam would be ideal. She is shy to warm up to new people, but once she does she’s latched on and will do anything to protect her person/people. She is fully house/crate trained, but currently doesn’t sleep in her crate at nighttime. She’s good with large dogs and would enjoy a playmate but she has not been tested with small dogs and cats. Her prey drive is strong (loves to chase squirrels and rabbits) and she truly follows her nose while out on walks! This can distract her from leash manners, but she refocuses fairly easily—FOOD MOTIVATED lol! Macy is a wonderful dog, and is a great running buddy but, she needs a home with experience in socialization training. She’s received obedience/behavioral training to work on her human socialization, but needs a patient home with knowledge, time, and space able to commit to reinforcing her socialization and working through her hurdles. Macy will make a great addition to a family with another young or adult dog, and she deserves to find a home that can provide her stability and help her develop into a well-adjusted dog!
