I miss playing the music I love - Merle Haggard, George Jones, Geo Strait, Willie Nelson and all the rest of the traditional country artists. Any traditional country music affectionados looking for an opportunity to play just for enjoyment? No "gigging", no late nights, no $40 paychecks - just the opportunity to enjoy playing the music we love, without any pressure to "get it right" - it's just for the fun of it here. At a minimum, we'd need a someone to sing (with PA), drums, bass, and guitar(s). Other instruments, like fiddle and harmonica, would be welcome. I'd be there on pedal steel. I can offer my place in Bulverde, but it would be outside. Still hot now, but will get cooler soon. Would welcome other options for a location. Takers? I'd add that I've tried this several times before on CL, and it always wound up in a smoking hole - why? People seem to think they deserve money when they play. This is about those of us who want it just for enjoyment of playing.
