Description
Male neutered yellow lab who is 5yo, approx. 70lbs. Extremely friendly, child-safe, cat-safe lab. He does not have a prey drive, non-aggressive, and is basically a lazy, goofy outdoor dog. He has been inside in the winder seasons, but he prefers to be outside with a well insulated doghouse and pad. Very quiet, no barking or howling, not even during fireworks. He likes sitting in tubs or pools, but does not like to swim.
Full disclosure of his medical history: He has had upper and lower surgery for his eyelids to correct entropy. No medications or further issues and considered fully resolved. He has weak hips which results in him tiring easy and a tremor when standing still. He will chase a rope toy 5-10 times before tiring out.
Overall he's a very calm dog who once he gets over the initial introduction is happy to just lay down in some dirt and watch the birds. He would do best with someone who needs a companion dog for an outdoor dog, and someone without a pool. He doesn't swim due to hips so it's safest with no pool. A perfect situation would be someone able to rehome with land that he can follow you around in the yard, shop, or property. As long as he has a warm place to sleep, he's happy outside overnight.
I'm happy to answer more questions to be able to find hime the right situation and home. Thank you
