Bassist needed for a brand new project. The sound: We are currently writing, but the sound is heavily influenced by an amalgamation of early psych blues rock, as well as modern, garage-style rock and blues. We're talking the full spectrum between Tons of Sobs-era Free, Stooges, Leaf Hound, Cream, Cactus and Blue Cheer, as well as modern acts like Band of Skulls, the Dead Weather, early White Stripes, Wolfmother and Graveyard. The members: The project currently consists of a guitarist and drummer, both of whom have played professionally for years in NY/Northeast scene and London, UK/Continental Europe, respectively. We've not built a project from the ground up in years and we're very excited at the new prospect — our goals are to gig steadily, release music and grow the band's footprint. We're both gear nuts, as well. The Bassist: You're professional in every aspect of the term — especially in attitude, gear and punctuality. Simply put, you have your shit together. We need someone we can rely on and someone who has the desire to create something meaningful to them. Non-negotiables are reliable transport to and from rehearsals and local gigs, no drug problems, local to Austin Metro area, and the ability to commit to a busy band schedule. We live in East and South Austin and will be rehearsing within the city limits.
