Established in 1900, Seattle Golf Club is an 18-hole private club located in North Seattle. The club is thrilled to be starting a six month-long golf course renovation in September, offering prospective employees the chance to be involved in a milestone of Seattle Golf Club’s history. Under the direction of the golf course superintendent and assistant superintendents, greenskeepers perform a variety of tasks related to the daily set-up and maintenance of our 18 hole golf course. Season greenskeepers use various hand tools, small machinery and mowers to maintain golf course areas including greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers. Occasional work with trees, shrubs and ornamentals may also be required. Ideal candidates will be able to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work well with others amongst a diverse staff is crucial. Candidates must be punctual and dependable, able to work in inclement weather and able to lift 50 lbs. Landscape maintenance experience is preferred but not required. A valid drivers license is necessary. Hours are 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend also required (usually for a four-hour shift each day but can sometimes be longer). Other occasional overtime opportunities are available and sometimes required. Key responsibilities: - bunker maintenance - mowing tees and greens with walk-behind and riding reel mowers - edging irrigation components - push-rotary mowing - weedeating of lake banks, around trees, and other auxiliary areas - debris cleanup (leaves, branches etc.) Benefits - sick time - lunch provided Tuesday-Friday - PPE provided - golfing privileges after probationary period All employees, members and guests are required to wear a mask while indoors at Seattle Golf Club regardless of vaccination status.
