NYC based media company is seeking fully vaccinated brand ambassadors to work both inside and outside of bars on Sunday, September 12th to promote a sports reporting website/app. Please be comfortable working indoors in a bar environment given all the current health circumstances if you choose to apply. Masking may or may not be required for bar staff, including yourself, depending on the venue rules and city/state guidelines. You must be able to send us a copy of your CDC vaccination card (2nd vax date must be before 8/30) and be able to show your NYS excelsior pass at the bar venue if you apply. You'll be wearing a branded t-shirt, giving some short talking points about the promotion, and then handing out postcards redeemable for one free beer, wine or soft drink, up to an $8 value including tax and $1 gratuity. The postcard is also good for a free 1 week trial of the sports reporting we are representing. You'll be stationed at the door, but whether you're inside or outside is still TBD and will depend on the venue. You need to be comfortable projecting your voice loudly, given the environment. Only a limited number of patrons (a few hundred) will receive a free drink. Once those run out, you'll have other promotional postcards to give out. In addition, you'll be hanging some posters throughout the venue and giving the bartenders a box of branded coasters to be used that night. Available bar locations and shift times: UES 86th St- 11:30AM-4PM (free beer offer runs 12:30P-3:30P with time to put up posters & get oriented with the staff before and time to close out the tab after) North Williamsburg - 11:30AM-4PM (free beer offer runs 12:30P-3:30P with time to put up posters & get oriented with the staff before and time to close out the tab after) Midtown/Herald Sq - 3PM-7:30PM (free beer offer runs 4P-7P with time to put up posters & get oriented with the staff before and time to close out the tab after) Available roles: (Each location will have 2 staff and 1 back up) Team leader: picks up supplies from either Crown Heights, Brooklyn or Long Island City near Court Square (your choice), is responsible for bringing the supplies to the bar via an Uber or Lyft, as well as responsible for snapping a few photos and sending us a recap at the end of the night. In addition, you will act as a brand ambassador and interact with guests throughout the shift. Someone from the NYC based media company will come by at the end to pay the bar tab. You won't have to return any supplies after the event. Pays $195 including supply pick up and reporting. ($30/hr) Brand Ambassador: promotes by interacting with every guest entering the bar. Pays $112.50. ($25/hr) Back Up Brand Ambassador: arrives on-site at shift start time to see if you're needed to fill in and work the full shift as a BA. If not needed, you'll be released within 30 mins max. Pays $40 if released, or $112.50 if you stay and work the full shift to fill in as BA. We're open to rearranging the budget and responsibilities if it's more convenient for the BA on the team to pick up supplies, so just let us know if you're interested in TL but the pick up locations aren't convenient and we'll see what we can come up with as we pair you off. Dress code is still TBD, likely black pants or blue jeans. T-shirts are offered in fitted or standard sizes. This is a W4/I9/W2 job and payroll will be processed on 9/15 assuming you submit all required paperwork on time. If you miss the deadline to be added to this payroll, the next possible pay date is 10/1.
