Saturday, Sept. 25; 10am-4pm Sunday, Sept. 26; 1pm-2pm Join Rev. Victoria Loveland-Coen for an opportunity to learn and practice Unity's basic priciple of affirmative prayer. Affirmative Prayer is a transformational practice central to Unity. Affirmative Prayer is very different than what most people imagine when they think of prayer. For most, prayer is an act of supplication, where one beseeches an external power to intervene on their behalf. Many pray to a God outside themselves to help change a situation which has become unbearable. This reinforces the false notion that the power of God is outside, and needs to be coached to help us with our problems. Affirmative Prayer is different because it unifies us with the Source of all good. When we embrace the understanding that we are the Divine One expressing, and that the Power of God is a Principle we can use, then we are praying from a place that includes the answer to our prayer. In this workshop, you will learn the spiritual concepts behind Affirmative Prayer and begin to master the 5 step process which the Fillmores,’ and other New Thought practitioners used to heal their bodies, prosper their lives, and create more harmony in the world.
