Our church is revamping our worship team, and we need you! Our new worship pastor leads worship movements across the country with her own band, and she is looking to build a local worship band here at Mt. Vernon Church of God in Southeast Wichita for our church services. We worship with a focus on encountering the presence of God. We play contemporary worship music (think Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, maybe even some Mav. City). We need instrumentalists and vocalists at all levels. In particular we really need a drummer, a lead electric guitarist, and a bassist. Because of our size you will have plenty of opportunity to play as well as grow. Do you not know how to play yet? No worries! We host a Worship Workshop music class every Wednesday at 6:30pm in our church sanctuary. WE WILL TEACH YOU FOR FREE if you want to learn acoustic, bass, or grow in your singing ability and stage presence. Interested?
