Girl Band - looking for members!

Hey there, I’m looking for Washington D.C. area female singers/instrumentalists to form an indie band and produce original music. What kind of music influences? Think the Smiths, Laura Nyro, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Belle & Sebastian, Liz Phair, Sleater-Kinney, The Kinks, The Velvet Underground and Nico, David Bowie, Indigo Girls, the Beach Boys (the Pet Sounds kind)…. you know, introspective but not taking yourself too seriously, sad but happy, lots of good harmonies, solid lyrics, thoughtful critiques / politics (i.e. lyrical subject matter that moves “my girlfriend/boyfriend dumped me” songs…), pleasantly weird chords, “real” music sound (not over-processed), a little tongue-in-cheek humor. Looking for people who are: -Committed/ ready to meet at least 1x a week for practice -Competent singers/instrumentalists (piano, guitar, drums, bass, string/wind instruments) -Ready to fill in on original songs -Excited about the idea of recording original songs / performing live About me… a 20somethingyearold girl guitarist/piano player/vocalist with a lot of original songs I’d love to bring to the light of day with other people.
