Vocalist seeking coconspirator for studio recording and smaller gigs to start as a duo. Looking for a musician who can hear the good in Radiohead to Paul Simon to Depeche Mode to Waylon Jennings to Iron Maiden, but understands that sticking to brand and within a genre is what a paying audience wants 96 percent of the time. We don't have to prove we can do everything just because we can do everything. Someone comfortable with effects but can play direct if the batteries go out mid gig (why didn't you check the batteries?). Someone who prefers Stevie Wonder or Tool or Billie Eilish, but know who the fuck Chet Atkins was. Someone out of college but not yet in a nursing home. Someone with a life other than music but still has that thing that when a song hits just right, remembers that music is maybe all that matters. No drug habits that would keep us from touring in the future. No Republican evangelical proud boy sign carrying open carry Alex Jones believers... but not someone so far to the left of these guys that you can't recognize them as human beings with different backgrounds and educations. I don't care who you sleep with or what color your skin is (unless it is blue in which case please seek immediate medical attention). I've had a little international touring experience. I'm a little older and hopefully wiser. I'm confident in my voice and songwriting ability. I understand that the business of music is just a shell game for corporations to hold legacy catalog and control endorsements to a few Taylor Swifts and Cardi Bs... but that there is a side hustle market where good music can still organically connect with music lovers. And I'm looking for a Page/Richards/Edge classic partner in crime.
