Looking to connect and play with folks in an ambient/instrumental project. Influences: Tortoise, And There Stands Empires, Mogwai, Bardo Pond, El Guapo, El Ten Eleven, Mylets, Bill Laswell, L. Stinkbug, Jaga Jazzist, Nels Cline, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, STS9, Animal Collective, Jeff Kaiser, Chris Schlarb, Explosions in the sky, Broken Social Scene, Trans Am, Godspeed you Black Emperor, Don Caballero, Do Make Say Think, TTNG, Kris Tiner, Stereolab, Yo La Tengo, Dosh, Lymbic System, This Will Destroy you, Critters Buggin, Black Frames…. I’m looking to collaborate at my rehearsal space in Trabuco Canyon. I have 2 kits set up, guitar and bass rigs, circuit bent toys, lots of percussion. Found objects, field recordings, circuit bent instruments, manipulated percussion, prepared guitar, electronics, turntables, woodwinds, strings…. I want to explore and communicate musically with others. But I don’t want any pretentious bullshit. The only way I’ve found to achieve a balance is with a lot of humor and sarcasm.
