Looking for someone immediately -We are a Phoenix based business that buys truckloads of big box items (appliances, exercise equipment, furniture, car accessories etc etc.) The items are usually overstock, shelf pulls or customer returns. The items are often heavy 50+ plus. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to break a sweat and is experienced in assessing problems and using his/her handyman skills to repair slightly damaged items. You should be capable of opening, inspecting and organizing items that come into our warehouse. Your job will be to open and inspect each item and determine whether it is new and complete and ready for resale. If it is not working, your job would be to assist in fixing the item or determining what parts need to be ordered/fixed in order to restore the item to like-new, sellable condition. Reading and interpreting assembly instructions is a must for success in this position. We are located in the heart of Phoenix at 35th ave and Thomas. This position will start out as temporary - 16 to 24 hours a week with the option of permanent employment if you are a good fit for our business. We realize that some of the candidates may want this as a second job, so we will be flexible about Days/Times. We are willing to work around your schedule if and only if you are a good candidate and a reliable one. No specific experience is required, but any background in warehouse or experience in handyman/fixit work is a strong plus! Salary is $16/hour. Paid at the completion of each workday. Proof of Covid Vaccination required.
