A sweaty, swilling, stomper of show between the best of Memphis and Milwaukee. 𝑫𝑬𝑨𝑫 𝑺𝑶𝑳𝑫𝑰𝑬𝑹𝑺 are an 8 piece band from Memphis, Tn whose eclectic compositions feature a rock and roll core that lift 5 part vocal harmonies, horns and strings to create a dynamic wall of sound. Building on the musical traditions of the delta, and melting pot aesthetic that first made Memphis the home of rock and roll, their music is at once irreverent and uniquely American. While firmly rooted in the modern urban south, they draw heavily from artists ranging from Tom Waits to the Band, John Prine, Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan and Randy Newman. All artists who refuse to be easily classified. With humor, cynicism and an underlying foundation of humanity their songs root for the underdog while skewering the hypocrisy of our postmodern media landscape. 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑾𝑬𝑨𝑳𝑻𝑯𝒀 𝑾𝑬𝑺𝑻: There is a certain resilience, albeit sometimes desperate to The Wealthy West’s songs. The solo moniker for The Rocketboys’ frontman Brandon Kinder, The Wealthy West sings songs that fully encapsulate someone who has chosen to step away from the comfortable, from his friends and easy relationships, and is trying to figure out his place in life. As if leaving the house with the door flung open and marching into the unknown, he periodically turns around to make sure that his real life is still there before plunging forward. Jayke Orvis & Mikey Classic: Spit from the heart of America's Rust Belt, arising from a night of flophouse violence. Drifting across the states, they cemented their sound in Portland, OR and later in Los Angeles, CA, where they lived in abandoned buildings, squatter camps, storage units and shoebox apartments.
