Description

Help us ensure continued food sovereignty for our newest neighbors This January we removed over 6,000 square feet of invasive blackberry canes from the hillside behind our community garden plots; now, we need to dig out the left-over roots and cover the area with mulch before we replace them with native plants this fall. With your help, we will not only restore habitat in an urban environment, but also help ensure future food access for the refugee and immigrant populations we serve. Learn more about World Relief Seattle's Paradise Parking Plots Community Garden here! World Relief Seattle has worked since 1979 to empower local churches and community members to serve refugees and immigrants in the Greater Seattle Area. Originally founded to care for those fleeing war in Southeast Asia, we have since grown to resettle refugees from almost 50 countries. We are encouraged by the many churches, businesses, and individuals who use their resources and ingenuity to enhance the lives of refugees and immigrants throughout Western Washington.
