Come celebraye Hispanic Heritage Month with your DRAC Friends Las Palmas Tropical Escape.
Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off on September 15th, and there’s no better way to celebrate than visiting Las Palmas Tropical Escape for the September DRAC Membership event!
This month’s Membership Event has TWO PARTS! FIRST, between 5:30 and 6:15, swing by Accent Wine at 49 N. High Street. Owner Greg Stokes will greet you and answer questions about this brand new tasting space and wine shop located in the Citizens Trust building.
When you’re done saying hello to Greg, walk across the street to Las Palmas Tropical Escape at 46 N. High Street for the main event from 6:00 to 8:00! Members will sample Argentinian comfort food from Barroluco, enjoy Latino music, and watch a short exhibit of Salsa dancing from a local studio. We will hear from Donna Zuiderweg with the Columbus Metropolitan Library who will introduce us to upcoming renovations to the Main Library’s East Plaza. Las Palmas and Barroluco owner Omar D’Angelo will tell us about all of the upcoming fun he has planned at Las Palmas. Finally, visit special guest Danna Lalique who will be working and sizzling behind the bar!
We look forward to seeing everyone on September 15th!
We exist to ensure a vibrant downtown neighborhood by connecting our members to the local community.
DRAC is a civic association comprised of downtown residents, urban partners and other Columbus residents who have an interest in the ongoing development of our community.
Simply put, we offer a space to get to know your neighbors better whether you live, work or play in the downtown area.
