Join us for an in-depth exploration of the Museum's new exhibition on 19th c. American medicine in the majestic 1st floor Period Rooms. Join us for a memorable 60-min. Guided Exhibit Tour of the Mansion's 1st floor Period Rooms. A Museum Docent will lead you through the Mansion's majestic 1st floor Period Rooms on an in-depth exploration of our new exhibition, Health, Healing & Addiction in 19th Century America, highlighting the birth of modern medicine and its scientific breakthroughs and featuring rare artifacts, instruments, costumes and photographs, drawn from those once owned by the Lockwood and Mathews families, as well as loans from major private collections and public institutions. The tour will also include the award-winning Servants' Quarters on the mezzanine floor and the new exhibition, Envisioning Space: Architecture Through the Ages (opening Sept. 18).* Please note that this tour does not visit the 2nd floor bedroom suites or family room. House Tour.COVID-19 Rules and MeasuresThe health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff are our highest priority. Therefore, we continue to implement the state's regulations, CDC guidelines, and industry standards for best museum practices during the ongoing pandemic with the following rules and measures established for your visit: MASKS • All visitors will be required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. • If you have a medical condition that keeps you from wearing a mask, we ask you to please visit at a later date. • If you do not have a mask available, or your mask is deemed ineffective, the Museum will make a disposable mask available to you. TICKETS• All tickets are available for purchase in advance on the Museum's website: www.lockwoodmathewsmansion.com/programs. Walk-ins are welcome to purchase tickets at the door, and subject to availability. TOURS & SOCIAL DISTANCING • Tours will be limited to 10 visitors to allow for safe social distancing from docents and other visitors. • Social distancing shall be required for all Staff, volunteers and visitors in the Mansion. Social distancing means keeping 6 feet apart from guests, docents, and staff at all times during your tour. Our protocols on social distancing will be posted on signs around the Mansion. • The Mansion will be open for tours Wed. - Sun., with tour times at 12, 1, 2 and 3 p.m. SANITIZING • The Museum will make hand sanitizer available at entrance points and common areas within the Mansion. • We are taking great precautions in cleaning common areas with EPA approved cleaning products. • Rules will be posted on our website and along the tour for your safety. • Additionally, as stated above, all visitors will have to agree to these regulations before purchasing tickets to the Mansion.
