Join us 09/12 as Shannon Sheppard shares how to deal with the loss of a loved one, as well as lead us guided meditation. Join Althea Center for Engaged Spirituality for our upcoming Gathering : "From Earth to Eternity" When: Sunday, Sept. 5th 10:30 - 11:45 am MT *Doors will open at 10:00 am & RSVP is appreciated, but not required. We'll have a special Sunday message by Shannon Sheppard, who will share about how to deal with the loss of a loved one, as well as lead us guided meditation during the talk. We are also joined by spectacular musical guest, contemporary American musician and solo guitarist, Jon Sousa. All are welcome to join and participate in this intentional, healing gathering! Guest Speaker: Shannon Sheppard Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and her Master of Public Health from the University of Colorado. Shannon has worked in healthcare for over ten years improving health outcomes within communities. Featured Musician: Jon Sousa Jon Sousa is a contemporary American musician and solo guitarist from New Jersey, currently residing in Boulder, Colorado. His music contains elements of Celtic, Classical, Jazz, African, Electronic, Bluegrass & Folk, Rock & Heavy Metal. Additional: Childcare is not provided. Sunday lunches have been postponed until further notice. Coffee and Tea may be enjoyed outdoors after service. While each Althean may have opinions about the current state of the pandemic, let us do our very best to keep our thoughts, feelings, and prayers focused positively and with love and compassion for each other, the ill and their families, and those working tirelessly day after day to care for people who are sick. The board made these decisions with a safety of everyone's Health utmost in our minds, and we will continue to modify our policies based on regional and national recommendations.
