Outdoor cat needs a new home

Outdoor cat to good home. Beautiful, likes to be petted. Please read all before contacting us. He might someday be comfortable indoors too but I don't think he'll ever be indoor only. He's not a lap cat but that could change. He invaded the backyard as a stray and beats up the timid outdoor cat who was already living there so he needs to go. This is our last of many attempts to find him a home before he goes to the Humane Society. We had him neutered. He's not chipped. He eats the occasional bird, so put your feeders high. He mostly loves to hang out in the backyard, lolling in the grass or under the trees. He comes to the door begging for food and petting. He needs a home where he's an only cat or where the other cats are very confident. He's met our confident indoor cat (we let him outside) and the two of them were fine together. The timid outdoor cat was his target. So if you have a timid cat, this guy is not for you. I don't know how he'd do with dogs; probably okay after getting used to the dog. He also needs enough attention so he's not tempted to roam and bother other neighbors' cats. Please no advice; we already contacted the cat shelter agencies in the area. Just let us know if you want to adopt him. Thanks!
