Seeking another artist to split my existing studio space in Brooklyn, available Sept. 15 or sooner. The price is $450/month. The studio is located in an industrial building in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, close to the Gowanus Canal and Industry City. It is a very charming space, fully private room and well-furnished. The room is equipped with a coffee maker, some basic painting supplies I am happy to share, and a fan that offers ventilation if working with solvents. The space also includes a small window which is also nice for ventilation. It is spacious (around 200 sq feet) and can easily fit two if not three people. Right now it is just me. The building itself includes a number of other private studio spaces, and a restroom with a slop sink in the basement. The other artists here have been nothing but friendly and mostly keep to themselves. My previous studio partner has just left the space and now it is just me. Right now I am looking for one or possibly two other artists to join(we can split it three ways if you want to come in with one other person). Currently, I am only using the space a few times a month on the weekends, so you would have the space to yourself most of the time. You are welcome to use my desk or set up a work station of your own on the other side of the room. Looking for someone who is responsible, easygoing and a good communicator.
