Session #1: This will include a discussion by county leaders from 9:40 to 10:30 a.m. on current programs being offered to incentivize safe, affordable housing. A chance to visit the site where up to 10 emergency shelter houses are being built by the McPherson Housing Coalition. Track #2 - Housing Stability - Understanding the challenges of securing safe, affordable housing. Excellent for social service providers. Session #1 - 9:40 - 10:30 a.m. - Sherrie Rickerson, McPherson Coach with STEPMC, will be joined by graduates and monthly leaders of the program to share what they have experienced first hand regarding poverty. 20 minute Break - Booths, Snacks Session #2 - 10:50 - 11:40 a.m. - Panel discussion - Nonprofits helping break the cycle of housing instability.
