This year's Stories Behind the Stones is dedicated to Historian Jamie Eiler. Join us to honor Jamie & learn more about New Albany History. You are invited to the 11th Annual Stories Behind the Stones.  This one and half-hour tour is a ½ mile walk around Fairview Cemetery where stories will come to life to tell you about Floyd County History.  This year's theme is “The Business Spirit of New Albany. ”  Tickets are $10 each - Handicapped Accessible Tours Available Upon Advance Request for our Friday night Tour at 6:00pm, as well as our Saturday night Tours at 5:00 pm and 7:15 pm - Please call (812) 987-2132 to reserve these golf cart seats.   The night of the Stories, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time, enter the Fairview Cemetery at the main entrance on Culbertson Avenue between East 5th and East 7th Streets and check in by the Fairview Office.   FAQs How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Just call 812-987-2132 with any quesitons - All calls will be returned.  What's the refund policy? No refunds but know your donations will be used for cemetery preservation.   Do you have a rain date? We do not have a rain date.  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is not necessary to bring your ticket What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is limited parking in the cemetery but lots of street parking.  Please Enter the Fairview Cemetery at the main entrance on Culbertson Avenue between East 5th and East 7th Streets and check in by the Fairview Office to begin your tour.   The passing of FOF Vice President and Stories behind the Stones Ultimate Showman Jamie Eiler shocked and saddened all of us. He is greatly missed. We continue to pray for comfort for his family and all who knew him. The transformation of this stone during this year's cemetery restoration project was truly amazing. Donations to the Friends of Fairview Cemetery allow us to continue to make progress in restoring stones and telling more Stories Behind The Stones.
