Hello, I'm a local singer/songwriter from the Salem Oregon area. I play original rock, blues, soul, funk, pop, and renditions of popular songs. I perform mostly in Oregon, at parks, festivals, bars, and other special events. I'm really passionate about music and performing live. Super friendly and easy to work with. You can read more about me on my website. www.gabrielcoxmusic.net. I'm auditioning for a permanent live drummer. This is a professional opportunity, so you will be paid $$ for every gig we play. If you've auditioned for me in the past, I highly encourage you to re-audition. REQUIREMENTS: -Must have good morals and integrity. -Must be exclusive to this project only. Do not apply if you currently work with other bands/artists. -Must be available to play most gigs. See availability info below. -Must have your own equipment. -Must own a valid Oregon driver’s license, and reliable transportation. -Must be willing to travel and possibly tour-short term. -Ages 21+ only. -If you do not meet all of the requirements above, please do not apply. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS: -Lives around the Salem area so it's easy to rehearse. -Sings backup vocals occasionally. -Experience performing in a live setting. -Solid tempo, good dynamics, and stage presence. -If you do not meet all of the desired attributes/skills above, I still encourage you to apply anyway. AVAILABILITY INFO: -I do my best to schedule around your availability, but if you can’t make it to a show, I may hire a professional fill in. Most gigs are on Fri/Sat nights, busy in the summer, slow in the winter, so I'm looking for someone that can work with that schedule. We may rehearse frequently initially, but only until you are set on the material. After that, rehearsals are only scheduled as needed. AUDITION INFO: -Auditions should only last about 30 minutes. I'll send you three songs well in advance and I'd like you to play them as close as possible to the recording. I'm not looking for you to master every fill, I just need you to learn the structure and changes of each song. We may improv for a bit as well.
