September 2021 Luncheon, Black Hills Leadership Development Please join us Wednesday, September 22nd, for a Black Hills Leadership Development luncheon with speaker, Tamie Hopp. She has served nonprofit causes for nearly 30 years. Tamie Hopp is currently the Director of Philanthropy for the Black Hills Works Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting more than 600 people with disabilities in the Rapid City-area. She previously served as the Director of Alumni and Foundation Services for National American University, and as the Director of Government Relations and Advocacy for VOR, a national nonprofit organization for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. Tamie has a law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law and she earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. In 2019, she was recognized as a UWO Distinguished Alumni for dedicating her career to nonprofit causes. Tamie is also an active volunteer. She was recently appointed to the Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities, has served on the Inter-School Parent Council for Rapid City Area Schools for more than 14 years, volunteers when she can at Feeding South Dakota’s mobile distribution sites, and has served on Elevates Workforce Development Committee. She lives in Black Hawk with husband of 27 years, Ron, and their two children, Josh and Sierra. Black Hills Leadership Development is a team with the vision to build a networking group in an effort to cultivate, enhance and encourage leadership skills in our community.
