Description
Well, after 1.5 years of this pandemic, I thought it might be time to try this again.
I'm a 45 year old man, always pretty much done solo projects (see links below). Mainly write on guitar, then adding bass, drums, piano, etc. Some kind of art rock.
Looking for musicians (drums, bass, guitar, wind, etc.) who share my vision of an ecstatic, forward thinking expression of dark and light, dissonant and harmony, cliche and novel, improvisational and carefully crafted, loud and soft, etc.
The theater of No Means No, the joy of the Minutemen, the feminine weird power of Kate Bush, the deep roots of Prince Fari, the alien 70's rock of Guided By Voices, the ecstasy of Fela Kuti, the flowing attack of Lonker See, the human math of Rumah Sakit, the gentle Americana of Waylon Jennings, the penetrating simplicity of Joy Division, the spaced out narrative of Pink Floyd and Hawkwind, the intimacy of Cat Power and Bob Dylan, the heaviness of Earth and Windhand, the childlike optimism of Shugo Tokumaro.
I'm not interested in commerce, but the beauty we create ought to be shared. I want to practice at the very least 1x/week, better 2x. I have a music room at my house with a nice drum kit, PA, piano, etc.
I have a lot of material to contribute, but should be expanded upon, added to. I'm looking for people to contribute and collaborate.
Here's some of my stuff.
