Care for a young guy with disability

We are looking for a caregiver for a young adult with developmental delays. He is happy and active guy with some mobility challenges, speech delay and curiosity of 6 year old. The ideal person will be energetic, positive, imaginative, active, kind and reliable that can organize their daily activities without relying on TV. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Planning, organizing and implementing daily activities, for example handcrafts, painting, coloring, reading books, playing cards, and outdoor and indoor games; • Active engagement with the boys through communication; • Light organization, housekeeping and meal preparation together with the boys; • Organization, direction and assistance with some personal care like dressing, grooming, etc. • Going to gym (attending classes), walks, parks, museums, etc. Minimum Qualifications: • High School degree; • Showing up on time, ready to work, and with a positive attitude; • Understand other person needs; not doing things for them, rather with them • Ability to communicate in a friendly manner • Demonstrated ability to perform services safely • Complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen • Possess a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation Available times: mornings or weekends Salary: $12-14/hr depending on qualifications
