Our nonprofit is expanding our Compassion Over Reaction Bully Prevention to Branch County, Michigan. Do you know anyone in the Coldwater, Marshall area? Our new nonprofit dance and cheer team will help teach kids about bullying and help us raise money for our elementary school bullying prevention program. Staff is volunteer and scholarships are available. No student is turned away. Please share our free event coming up this Saturday in Coldwater: Looking for kids ages 5-12 for our brand new Pom & Cheer Team in Coldwater, MI. Mock tryouts and info night THIS SATURDAY, 3-5pm. Event is free and open to all. Come see the fun things we're cooking up in Branch County! Our nonprofit team is based on leadership skills and (most importantly) having fun. We've been building character and confidence through dance since 2008 and are so excited to bring this affordable dance and cheer program to Coldwater and surrounding areas. Do you know a family who is unable to afford extra-curricular activities for their children? Foster families, single parents (or any family looking for a flexible and affordable option for their kiddos)...MI Starz Dance & Cheer offers sliding scale tuition, family discounts and payment arrangements. Team has two Saturday practices each month and will be performing throughout our community. What makes us unique? Our program uses dance and cheer to teach life skills (such as integrity, responsibility and perseverance), builds self-esteem and teaches positive self-talk. Students move their bodies, make friends, and have a blast. Uniforms are a ONE TIME fee. Trade up sizes as the dancer grows. Payment arrangements and fundraisers available to make our program truly affordable for all families. Minimal time commitment allows for family time and other activities. We combine dance technique with confidence building cheer vocals to build healthy bodies and self-confidence. Local performances support our community and give the dancers a foundation for better performance in school and better behavior at home. Join us this Saturday from 3-5pm for a mock tryout (to give the students tryout experience and a feeling of pride and ownership of their new team), dance and cheer clinic, and guardian information session. We will demonstrate what we will do as a team and answer any question. Event is FREE and open to all. Please RSVP if possible as we will have gifts for the participants. RSVP not required to attend.
