Hello carpenters,
I need someone to provide a LABOR ONLY quote to get lumber, chain, materials from Home Depot and build a day bed swing for my backyard and hang it from an existing pergola beam (the beam is very thick, very strong, so no issues with weight).
I am providing pictures of 2 different designs. You can provide a bid on whichever one is easier for you. We like both designs. Just let us know which design you are quoting on (the pictures are numbered 1 and 2). The bed has to be wide enough to hold a twin mattress of 75 inches long x 39 inches deep x 6 inches high. So that should give you a very good idea of dimensions.
Remember, here is everything you need to do.
1. Go to Home Depot and buy the lumber and supplies. We are providing pictures of the hardware and ropes that we have purchased to suspend the chair bed. If you think those don’t work, then you have to buy their replacements too.
2. Cut lumber, bevel edges, sand lumber, assemble bed, stain the bed (we will provide the stain).
3. Install hanging hardware on the pergola beam.
4. Suspend the bed (it needs to be flat) from the beam, and clean up.
