How to Write Award Winning Grants for your Nonprofit About This Workshop At a time of financial uncertainty, being able to successfully raise money for your nonprofit through grants has become more critical than ever. This in person lunch and learn workshop, hosted in a safe and COVID-19 compliant environment at Neway Creative, will provide nonprofit leaders and staff with the following: Understanding of the totality of the grant processHow much time it takesWhere to find available grantsHow to decide whether to pursue grant opportunities How to cultivate successful donor relationshipsWith the unique perspective of both a successful grant writer and a grant reviewer, our facilitator will also share numerous practical, easy to incorporate tips for improving grant writing skills, avoiding common mistakes, and increasing your chances for success using real life examples. Current nonprofit leaders, staff or individuals thinking of starting a nonprofit are encouraged to attend. To help with expenses of the workshop, a minimum donation of $20.00 per person is suggested. About The Facilitator Lindsay Calcatera has over 20 years of experience writing grants for multiple non-profit organizations. She previously served as a senior grant writer and the Director of Marketing and Communications for Access Community Health Network in Chicago. She returned to her native Michigan in 2008 to serve as the Marketing Director for the 2008 Michigan State Fair and has served as the Manager of Development and Communications and currently Vice President of Growth and Communications for MORC, Inc. since 2009. Lindsay has also had experience as a federal grant reviewer and volunteered with several grant making foundations, giving her unique perspective to the grant writing process. Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Alma College in Michigan and a Certificate in Fundraising Management from DePaul University in Chicago.
