LARGO, FL — Two adults and a 4-year-old child were seriously injured Sunday in a pileup on the Howard Frankland Bridge. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 42-year-old Wilmington, Delaware, woman was driving an SUV north on I-275 at 11:33 a.m. A car driven by a 31-year-old Tampa woman and a car driven by a 33-year-old Spring Hill man were also driving north on the bridge just ahead of the Delaware woman. The Tampa woman slowed for traffic ahead and was struck from behind by the SUV. The Tampa woman's car then struck the Spring Hill man's car, which rotated and hit the guardrail. The Delaware woman, her 56-year-old passenger and a 4-year-old girl in the Tampa woman's car suffered serious injuries.
