Hello craigslist world, I am looking to put together an experimental rock band, steeped in funk with elements of bluegrass and jazz. I plan on tangible lyrics with great harmonies and 3 or 4 more people in the band. I also want to touch on experimental metal, just for fun. I studied opera for almost 2 years and have been playing drums for more than 20 years, 5 of those were intensely semi-professional. I expect this band to be a group of patient, disciplined and reliable people who want to explore music for music's sake while making songs that we all enjoy. If we have an immediate leader, that's great. If we have to explore our personalities to find one, we will. My main influences are: Phish, Tool, Radiohead, Muse, Bob Marley, Dave Matthews Band and Mahavishnu Orchestra. If this all interests you, let's go...
