Farmingdale's 10th Annual Art in the Park"On the Village Green" Sunday, September 19th 11am - 3pm, 361 Main Street – free to attend, rain date Sunday, September 26th! Farmingdale's 10th "Art in the Park" will feature approximately 20 magnificent artists exhibiting and selling their artwork. The Legendary Long Island artist, Elaine Faith Thompson, is returning to Farmingdale's Art in the Park. Elaine's artwork has been commissioned and recognized by levels of government and still continues. Elaine's paintings include the 2009 U.S. Open Bethpage Golf Tournament, the 2019 PGA Championship, Long Island Lighthouses, Elvis Presley; a painting of George Washington in the Chapel of the U.S. Capitol praying for his troops, among others. Come meet these special Long Island artists and enjoy their magnificent artwork displayed "On the Farmingdale Village Green." Art in the Park is a juried art show, featuring a wonderful array of original artwork on display; ribbons and prizes will be awarded. Event planned by the Farmingdale Village Cultural Arts Committee. The weekly Sunday Farmers Market by Schneider's Farms, will be held from 10am – 3pm in conjunction with Art in the Park on Sunday, September 19th, relocating to Main Street in front of the Firehouse. Therefore Main Street will be closed from Prospect Street to the parking lot entrance near The Nutty Irishman, during the Farmers Market.While in the Village; remember to shop and dine downtown! Free admission and free parking is available in Village parking lots, along Conklin Street, on Main Street, neighboring streets; and in Train Station Lots (after 4pm without permits Monday-Friday, and on weekends all day).
